How you doing coaches who may read this, my name is Saleem Messiah. I’m a football player from Union New Jersey. I have never played a down of football, nor have a room a rep at practice. This is because I have two prosthetics legs been that way ever since I was born. I’ve always loved the game. Even though my sophomore a week before the first game I was told I wasn’t eligible to play my sophomore year I didn’t let that stop me. I still attended everything as if I was playing and I got to it in the weight room eager to play next season, my junior season. Ending up having a back injury going into my junior season lifting the most on the team in the bench press category and the legs I thought I needed for football were the wrong ones. I still did not give up on my mind I still wanted to go to college on a football roster. I continued to work to my fullest potential again lifting the most. Mentoring the younger guys and being a great person. Of course after not playing football nobody would recruit you of course. So I was done with football until a coach from Jersey Coast Prep Academy contacted me. Said he heard my story and would love for me to join the team. I had my own sports show in high school my senior year producing 10 episodes. So I went to Jersey Coast Academy being a media guy filming practices and games. After our first game the season was over everyone got sent home the head coach wasn’t paying the bill at the hotel we was staying in so we got kicked out. Now I’m just looking for somewhere to enroll whenever I can be on the team and play whatever roll needed of me.
